Randwulf Amarnayeen

Randwulf Amarnayeen is a native to Southern California and has lived in the San Diego area since 1982. He started playing music at the age of 8 and plays a variety of brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. He later took up and studied Middle Eastern percussion extensively, as well as focused his musical talents on the Turkish Oud (or Barbat), Baglama Saz, Cumbus, Afghani Rabob and many other Middle Eastern melodic and percussion Instruments.

He has performed with great Musicians such as John Bilezikjian, Dave Dhillon, Tony Karasek, Richard Barham, Edric Aziz, Jeremiah Soto and Jonathan Kessler. He has also been a member and performed with music groups such as The Neri Santi Gypsy Band, Karasek Sound, Urban Vibrations, Al Kimie and a myriad of Dance Troupes and beautiful “Solo” dancers!

Randwulf was instrumental in forming the "Award Winning" Middle Eastern Band" ~ "Al Samoud". . . He has been teaching Middle Eastern Percussion for the last 16 years in both group and private settings and regularly drums for Bellydance classes. He also has instructional CD’s available for students of Middle Eastern drumming and the Oud.

Randwulf has performed at many of MECDA's - Cairo Carnival shows, SAMEDA's – Bedouin Bizarre, IAMED's - "Hollywood Babylon". He is a member and supports each of these organizations. He is also very active in Southern California's dance scene and produces monthly shows with his band at Ali Baba's in El Cajon, The Greek Palace in San Diego and The Greek Oasis in Temecula, featuring live Music and dancers at every venue. With his enthusiastic spirit, Randwulf can always be found at local events supporting all aspects of Middle Eastern music and dance!
